The International Conference on the Food Factory for the Future.
The 8th International Conference on the Food Factory for the Future will take place in Laval (France), from October, 19th to 21st, 2016.
Since 2001, the Food Factory conference is jointly organized by Laval Mayenne Technopole and SP Food and Bioscience (previously SIK, Sweden).
The conference takes place every two years, alternately in Gothenburg (2001, 2006, and 2010) and Laval (2004, 2008, 2012 ans 2016).
The objective of the conference is to establish and gather periodically, at a European and International scale, a scientific and industrial community around the concept of the food factory of the future, especially on four major aspects:
I. New Food Factory : Designing new food processes, safe, hygienic, ergonomic, etc.
II. Safe Food Factory : Controlling microbial and chemical food safety, cleaning technologies, etc.
III. Green Food Factory : Reducing ecological footprint of the food processes, energy saving, waste reduction, short circuits from farm to fork, etc.
IV. Smart Food Factory : Process control and automation, robots, numerical technologies, etc
The Food Factory conference also includes a brokerage event (the «Food Factory dating"), where individual B to B meetings are set, in the context of industrial development and R & D.
Over the years, the «Food Factory for the Future» conference became the biannual event of a network of expertise.
